How to create a favicon for my website? |

A favicon is that little icon ( ) that displays at the top of you web browser to the left of a website title. I thought my readers might be interested in knowing how to create their own. It is actually quite easy, first you open up your imahe editing software and create a new 16X16 pixel image. Then you design your little icon and save it as favicon.png, or .jpg. Once the image is saved, find it in your documents and right click it and rename it favicon.ico. Last upload it to the root of your site. You may have to delete your cookies and temporary internet files to get it to display.
