First of all let me say thank you for choosing us for your web design needs. We are a small company and every one of our clients mean a lot to us. You truly are the lifeblood of our business. The first step in this process is to get a domain name (if you don't already have one). We recommend godaddy.com. Godaddy offers good prices, and they are very easy to use. Also when you make updates to your domain name they get processed in minutes, not days. For a guide to choosing a domain name click HERE. The second step is to change the Domain Name Servers or Nameservers of your domain name to point to our server. This just points your domain name (web address) to our servers so we can then link it to your hosting account. This process will have to be completed in order for us to start working on your website. Changing your Namesers: If you bought your domain name from godaddy.com then just go the godaddy.com and log into your account. If your domain name does not automatically show up, then click on the "My Products" link. Next find your domain name (if you have more than one there will be a list) and click the "advanced details" link to the right of the domain name we will be using for your website. Now you should see the details of your domain name. On the left-bottom of the page you will see a section that is labeled "Nameservers". Just below that click the "manage" link. In the pop up window select the option that reads "I have specific nameservers for my domains" then replace the nameservers listed with ours: NS1015.WEBSITEWELCOME.COM & NS1016.WEBSITEWELCOME.COM. Then click the "OK" button. Setting up your hosting account: Setting up your hosting account is simple just click HERE, and choose the hosting plan that fits your needs, as well as the options. Don't choose the blog hosting plan unless your website will be a blog-only website. Documents and images The next step will be to send us any documents and images that might be useful when building your site. What's next The next step will be to go over designs and your ideas for your site. I like to do this in on the phone or in person or via email.
